Riku Nieminen

By collaborating with and listening to LGBTQ+ organizations, seeking strategic support from them for advocacy efforts.
Using credible and reliable sources of information to ensure that my work for LGBTQ+ rights promotes well-reasoned and constructive political discussions in Brussels and throughout the EU.
By communicating about LGBTQ+ rights and equality in a way that unites people and builds alliances and support, avoiding polarization.

Luis Fazendeiro

I will:
• propose and advocate for EU policies and laws that provide explicit protection on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristics, and that provide concrete responses to the
needs of LGBTI people in all their diversity
• recognise that, in a context where LGBTI rights are used
as scapegoats in wider attacks on democracy, I need
to also actively engage on rule of law, democracy and
inequality as part of my commitment

Lauri Lindén

Human rights are not guaranteed. They must be defended in all situations and constantly fought for. We must refuse to cooperate with those who do not share this value base. I intend to promote the realization of equal rights for minorities in all policy making, and that the hatred directed at these groups is tackled consistently.

Ronan van Langen

Hi! I'm Ronan, your stereotypical left-wing non-binary queer vegan, and I am a candidate MEP for PvdD.

The Party for the Animals will be crucial in the fight for animals, people, climate and nature over the next 5 years.

For me, justice is central to this, for example by standing up for Palestine, work on reparations for the centuries of exploitation and pollution by European countries and enforcing equal rights for every couple in the EU, just like a man/woman couple already has. This includes polyamorous relationships!

This cannot happen without queer representation!

Brian O’Boyle

I will support the LGBTQI community in fighting for genuine equality, respect and dignity. I will highlight the scandal of mental health issues within the community. I will oppose all forms of hatred and division being fostered by the far right

The role of the Council of Europe, which is independent from the EU, in human rights work and in promoting human rights co-operation between states have to be strengthened, and the Council's recommendations for securing LGBTQIA+ rights must be implemented at national levels and by agreements. The work of the LQBTIQ Equality Strategy must be strengthened. Active dialogue need to be held with activists and organizations promoting democracy, equality and the rights of minorities, and taking into account their expertise. The rights of asylum seekers belonging to minorities must be protected.
