I will deliver by doing the work that I have been done since now. And I think there is still lot to do both with in inside my own political group and the whole EU.

I will do my best to promote human rights and anti-discrimination in all legislation, all financing and all actions that the European Parliament takes both by itself and also in relation to member states and foreign relations.

I will continue working with these subjects with people who are part of the rainbow. Together whith them we will be able to change things!

It is important that the EU works to protect the rights of rainbow people in every EU country. Member states that violate the human rights of rainbow people should be held accountable for legislation and policy measures that violate EU treaties. The second EU rainbow strategy must be approved in the upcoming election period.
I see that the EU plays a key role in promoting the rights of rainbow people and organizations also in its foreign relations, trade policy and development cooperation projects.

I will never support a law that restricts rights of one group of people or gives one group of people privileges.

Working for himan rights and democracy are the most important values for me. LGBTI peoples’ rights especially needs to be depended in this challenging world situation.

Design a common EU policy to strengthen the human rights of LGBTQI people and take measures at EU level to combat discrimination and hate crimes against LGBTQI people in the EU member states.

I want to defend human rights and democracy. These are the main drivers of my policies. I am ready to have close ties and communication with IGLA and LGBTI community.

I, as a candidate for the European Parliament, promise to support LGBTI people’s human rights as also equality in the European Union and beyond it.

For me, as a member of the Finnish Centre Youth, equality appears similar as human rights regardless of sexual orientation or gender. Human rights are equal. Everyone should be allowed to participate, to advance their career, and also be treated the same regardless of background. If elected, I will strongly raise questions of equality and participation with a perspective that respects everyone.

The European Parliament must be a strong defender of the European Union’s values, including human rights. A common union can only work if Member States adhere to common values, rules and objectives. If necessary, a Member State that is going down the wrong path can, for example, have its funding frozen.

As a Member of the European Parliament, I will advocate for fair immigration policies and speak out against xenophobic rhetoric. I will work to strengthen legal protections against hate crimes and support funding for inclusive initiatives. Additionally, I will push for balanced representation in EU media to combat negative stereotypes.

The basis of my politics and the politics of Social Democrats is equality, social justice, human rights and rule of law. I’m fighting against discrimination in the society and defending everyone’s right to be themselves – without fear or harrassment. I’ll continue the same work I’ve done for over 10 years in top positions in Finnish politics.

Human rights are not guaranteed. They must be defended in all situations and constantly fought for. We must refuse to cooperate with those who do not share this value base. I intend to promote the realization of equal rights for minorities in all policy making, and that the hatred directed at these groups is tackled consistently.

I have worked for the better enjoyment of human rights from young age and continued that in my work life and later in parliament. I’m comitted to work together with the LGBTQI-community to reach equal rights both in Europe and in developing countries, especially in countries, where EU works.

The role of the Council of Europe, which is independent from the EU, in human rights work and in promoting human rights co-operation between states have to be strengthened, and the Council’s recommendations for securing LGBTQIA+ rights must be implemented at national levels and by agreements. The work of the LQBTIQ Equality Strategy must be strengthened. Active dialogue need to be held with activists and organizations promoting democracy, equality and the rights of minorities, and taking into account their expertise. The rights of asylum seekers belonging to minorities must be protected.

I will continue to give correct information in social media discussions and wherever needed, as I do even now. I will support all legislative initiatives that guarantee equal human rights for LGBTI people.

AS MEP I will use reliable sources of information and ensure to listen and gather information to keep myself informed and to be able to promote the needs and rights of the LGBTI people.

Fighting for equality and minority rights have been key elements of my political work for my whole career. I aim to continue this work next up in the European Parliament. The human rights of gender and sexual minorities are threatened across Europe. The EU must take action to protect the lives of LGBTIQ people. I am dedicated in putting in the work to make this happen. I also hope to do this in close collaboration with the LGBTIQ organisations and community.

LGBTQ+ rights are human rights. In times where conservative forces are forming alliances and attacking queer communities we have to stand together and protect queer rights across Europe.

1. Promote same-sex marriage and parenthood to be legally recognised in every EU country

3. Demand more focus on the LGBT+ rights in the EU foreign policy
4. Condemn all attacks towards sexual and gender minorities

I will tirelessly work for demand feminist foreign policy for the EU, to alleviate gender and minority based discrimination globally. EU must always set human rights first in its foreign policy. Same goes with legislation in member states. I will always advocate for freedom of discrimination an equal rights for all citizens of the EU.

I will continue working towards acceptance and safety for all lgbtq-people within Europe. It is important we establish laws and regulation that keep lgntq-people safe. We must also impose restrictions onto those countries that breach human rights regulations.

LGBTQ+ people in Europe face more and more hateful rhetoric and violence rates are rising. As a young Queer politician, I will do all I can to prevent this alarming trend to grow. I will propose new laws, communicate with civil society, speak about the issues LGBTQ+ people face and make sure the LBGTQ+ peoples voice is heard in every table I may have a seat.

I promise to persistently defend human rights and oppose systemic oppression with all my words and actions. I will always support the kind of decision-making that promotes the improvement of minorities to equal status.

I will be an active voice for LGBTIQ+ in the European parliament. I will prioritize human rights and equality in all decision-making. I will actively engage with LGBTIQ+ advocacy groups and make sure that people who are affected by decisions are heard. I take into account the fact that intersections of minority identities can act as oppression multipliers. I work for anti-racist and feminist policies.

I am a supporter of human rights, equality and democracy. My work as a MEP is based on these values.

In all my work, I commit to promoting and protecting the protection of human rights and the rights of minorities.

I have been working for human rights all my life. My first motivation was to advocate for the underprivileged, but soon after, I eagerly joined the feminist movement. Since the 90s, I have been promoting an improved attitude and legislation regarding the rights of sexual and gender minorities in Finland, both as a politician and a public figure. I have also worked tirelessly for a humane immigration policy. I am excited to continue this work with full dedication in the European Parliament. One of my three key campaign themes for the European elections is human rights.

I commit to supporting, initiating and advocating all initiatives that respect the indivisibility of human rights and democracy. Specially those of intersectoral minorities.

I want to work together with the lgbti organizations to identify priorities for my political work as MEP.
I want to advocate for EU policies and laws that provide explicit protection on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristics, and that provide concrete responses to the needs of LGBTI people in all their diversity

I will work for LGBTI rights, especially for young LGBTI people and equality in the EU. I will cooperate with NGOs and actively expand my knowledge of the challenges the LGBTI community faces in Europe. I will prioritize the perspective of the community and ensure their participation in decision-making. I have also committed to supporting the election goals of Seta, a national human rights NGO in Finland.

I will work together with my parliament group and other committed MEPs to ensure LGBTI rights. As you stated human rights are not obvious anymore – there are forces who are working against. We must work harder and be stronger together. That’s the only way forward.

Listening LGBTQIA+ people and learning what they have to say and act based on that.

I will promote LGBTI rights as a holistic approach to all legislation so that possible impacts are assessed early enough and the Do No Harm principle is followed. I will actively engage with NGOs and other experts to learn from them so I can actively advocate for LGBTI rights and use my public platform the best way possible.

It has been a pleasure to be a vice-chair of the Finnish Parliament’s Rainbow Network. I’m going to continue this work in all my positions and I would be proud if I could also do it in the European Parliament.
